MycoTex Biotech is the consulting and research and development arm of my work in fungal biotechnology, regenerative agriculture, and environmental systems.
I’m Josh Googins, founder of MycoTex Biotech and Fallen Oak Mycology, with 15+ years of hands-on experience building systems used in farms, production environments, and labs. Through Fallen Oak, I’ve operated at scale and supported regenerative projects across Texas, including distributing over 100 tons of spent mushroom substrate to improve soil health and yields.
MycoTex helps serious operators design, launch, and scale regenerative systems, reducing risk, accelerating timelines, and avoiding costly mistakes.

Josh GooginsJosh founded MycoTex Biotech and Fallen Oak Mycology after more than fifteen years of hands-on work across farms, production environments and labs.
Through Fallen Oak, he operated at commercial scale and helped move more than 100 tons of spent mushroom substrate into working farms across Texas.
Today the work spans facility and operational planning, fungal systems for soil and water, applied research and development for bioremediation and textiles, and practical support for teams responsible for making those systems run.
